Punk supergroup UltraBomb drop debut single

UltraBomb has released ‘Stickman Vs Hangman’, the first single from their upcoming album ‘Time To Burn’.

Billed as  ‘punk hardcore power trio’, the band consists of Hüsker Dü’s Greg Norton, Finny McConnell from The Mahones and Jamie Oliver, until recently with U.K. Subs.

‘Time To Burn’ is available to pre-order now and as a taster ‘Stickman Vs Hangman’ offers a driving slice of Hüsker Dü-inflected classic punk.

The tune will be one of 11 appearing on UltraBomb‘s debut album, which will also include a cover of the Dead Boys’ Sonic Reducer.

Recorded at Berlin’s Studio 25 this autumn, the majority of the album’s lyrics have been supplied by Norton and ‘Time To Burn’ is due out on True North Records. Canada’s oldest independent label, it’s also home to The Mahones and Finny McConnell’s solo work.

Meanwhile, The band will shortly make their live debut with a run of Ireland and UK shows, beginning March 26 in Belfast.
