Dropkick Murphys Release New Track “Queen of Suffolk County”

The song is taken from the Celtic-punk veterans’ 10th studio album, ‘Turn Up That Dial’ that drops April 30th

Dropkick Murphys have offered another taste of their new album, Turn Up That Dial, ahead of its April 30th release. Check out the Celtic-punk veterans new song “Queen of Suffolk County” below.

The new track follows the single “Middle Finger”, which was dropped with the album’s announcement in late February. “Queen of Suffolk County” opens with a newscaster announcing the arrest of a Suffolk County woman accused of a stabbing outside a bar. The song then proceeds to tell the story of the knife-wielding femme fatale.
“She had style, she had grace
She had a knife and she had a mace
Always causing trouble for the boys at Shawn’s
She’d bring ya to your knees
She did just as she pleased
Yeah, cocaine and violence were her bounty

The Massachusetts-based Celtic punks recently performed a St. Patrick’s Day Livestream that gained more than 1 million views, landing the band at No. 1 on Pollstar’s livestream chart.

Fans who tuned into that were treated to an early preview of “Queen of Suffolk County”.
