Cali Punks Pulley To Release Acoustic EP

The hardcore punk rockers announce ‘Different Strings’ EP – a reimagining of four of their classic songs.

You can’t really talk about skate-punk – or baseball punk – without at some point coming across California hardcore punks Pulley. Formed in the mid-90s, when frontman Scott Radinsky – then balancing punk rock with a career as a major league relief pitcher -exited his previous band Ten Foot Pole.

From there, the prolific PULLEY was born. The band released five studio albums on the legendary Bad Religion label Epitaph Records releasing their last LP ‘Matters’ for them in 2004.

After releasing two EPs on their own label in 2009 and 2011, 2016 saw Pulley release their 6th Long Player No Change In The Weather, on Los Angeles-based Cyber Tracks (an independent label founded by Aaron Abeyta (aka El Hefe) of NOFX )

It’s been a five-year wait for fans but on May 28th this year the band are set to release an acoustic EP on Austrian punk rock label SBÄM.

Furious, fast punk has always been a Pulley special. Mix it with California melodies and some serious production, and you have one of the best Hardcore bands around. However, this new EP, rather unsurprisingly, takes on a very different vibe. Featuring acoustic renditions of four songs off the classic LP Esteem Driven Engine, this is Pulley stripped raw as you have never heard before.

The concept behind this EP came about back in 2020 when most of the world was in lockdown. The response from fans after a few Livestreams and acoustic sessions proved there was a thirst for a Pulley acoustic EP, and SBÄM said they were more than happy to oblige!

Different Strings will be out MAY 28. Pre-Order for this very special 10” EP starts on Monday 3rd May at 6pm CET. Pre-order HERE.
