State Champs Drop Catchy New Single Ahead of Their Pure Noise Tour

The New York based pop-punk four piece has unleashed an ear worm of a song ‘Outta My Head’

Fresh off their epic return to live performance at Slam Dunk in the UK over the weekend, New York pop-punks State Champs have dropped their latest high-energy single, ‘Outta My Head‘. The video premiered alongside a live chat with the band last night and is now available to stream today.

“’Outta My Head’ is a faster, nostalgic, rooty one for us. Drawing inspiration from the early 2000s, we tried to execute an ear wormy energetic tune that could have easily been heard on the American Pie movies soundtrack or other rom coms alike,” shares lead vocalist Derek DiScanio.

“If you’re not singing the chorus by the third time it comes around, well, just hit the replay button, I suppose.”

State Champs are hitting the road next month, headlining the 2021 Pure Noise Tour with support from label mates Four Year Strong, Real Friends, Just Friends and Bearings. The 24-city tour kicks off on September 14th at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN making stops across the U.S. in Detroit, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston and more before wrapping up in New York, NY, at Irving Plaza for a sold-out show on October 22nd.

Today, the band has announced that they will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of your event OR proof of full vaccination to attend any show on the tour, sharing the following message.

“We truly believe that this is the best option for not only the safety of the bands and crew but the safety of all of you. We will require the same of ALL VIP ticket holders. Masks will also be required at VIP. Although masks during the show are not required, they are recommended.

“More details will be sent to ticket holders via email, or you can check out each venues’ website for more info.  Wash your hands, wear a mask, and get vaccinated if you can. Can’t wait to see all of you soon.”

*No Vaccine/Test Requirement for ticket holders per venue rules State Champs has always embraced the idea of getting their music in front of as many people as possible. They aren’t running away from the sound they’ve established; if anything, it’s that scrappy punk spirit that drives them to continue to reach further and further. They’ve done pop arena tours, metal tours; they’ve even played a show on a beach. Wherever they turn up, they are going to be sincere and passionate. They are going to have fun. And moreover, so will you. This is an arena-ready band, capable of moving any kind of crowd, with the heart and soul of DIY freedom.
