Epiphone has created Green Day Frontman’s trademark guitar for release in Classic White signature series.
With tours, festivals, and new releases, Green Day have been busy little punk rockers during 2021. The latest news is that the boys will be playing the Super Bowl Music Festival alongside Machine Gun Kelly, Gwen Stefani and more.
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has also continually shared the spotlight with his equally-as-renowned Les Paul Junior over the years. Now Epiphone has issued its signature model Les Paul Jr in the Classic White finish that fans recognise almost as instantly as Armstrong himself.
“Working with Billie Joe Armstrong over the years has been an absolute honour for our team,” says Aljon Go, Epiphone Product Manager. “The new Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong signature guitars will help inspire a whole new generation of guitarists with an accessible, quality instrument to blaze their path in making music, just as Billie has throughout his Grammy Award-winning career.”
Armstrong’s minimalist signature features a slab Mahogany body and a set neck, Indian Laurel fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. It has a powerful PRO P-90 pickup and master volume and tone controls with CTS potentiometers, making it versatile for pros and beginners alike. The guitar has Armstrong’s autograph as an emblem on the back of the headstock and comes with a deluxe leopard, faux fur-lined custom hardshell case.
The guitar is also available in a Player Pack version, which features the guitar (with a bolt-on neck and without Armstrong’s signature). It includes an Epiphone 15G guitar amp with two channels – clean and overdrive – a three-band EQ, and an aux input. The gig bag features an Epiphone guitar strap, guitar cable, electronic clip-on guitar tuner, and Epiphone-branded guitar picks.
The Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior is available now – in a Classic White finish – for US$549.
The Player Pack version of the same guitar, meanwhile, is only available in the U.S. and rings up at US$399.

Everyone should have a soundtrack playing loudly in the background of their life. I was born moshing to my own beat and have never swayed from my love of music. Spreading my passion through the written word is my soul’s purpose. My punk heart beats loudly with the rhythm of my rock soul. I plan to continue to mosh like no one gives a shit.
