Sold Out Amyl And The Sniffers Berlin Show Cancelled.

The band’s Monday night gig in Berlin has had to be cancelled due to a resurgence of COVID-19 in Germany – all tickets will be refunded.

After a recent gig at London’s Electric Ballroom, the Aussie band had to cancel their sold-out Berlin performance set for Monday, November 29th at SO36. As stated on the club’s website, the current pandemic situation is to blame:

“We are very sorry, but due to the current situation and new regulations, we have to cancel Amyl and the Sniffers’ performance at SO36. All tickets will be reimbursed via TixForGigs. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel: The band will very likely come to Berlin next summer to finally play a show. More about that soon. Hang in there!”

‘Some Mutts (Can’t Be Muzzled)’ is taken from Amyl and The Sniffers’ 2019 self-titled debut album.

Amyl and the Sniffers are not the only band being forced to interrupt their European tour. With Covid-cases on the rise across Germany and new restrictions and strict lockdowns in place in some European countries, many bands, including the German 100KiloHerz, the Swedish No Fun At All, and Satanic Surfers, among others, have had to cancel or re-schedule their winter tours.

According to Amyl and the Sniffer’s website, the Barcelona concert scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st and the show at the Rencontres Trans Musicales de Rennes 2021 in France haven’t been cancelled. If all goes well, the Melbourne-based punks will tour the UK and North America in Spring 2022.

We all hope Amyl and the Sniffers will make their way back to Berlin soon!
