Serial Killer Dinner Party serve up their latest single and music video ‘Falling Away’

Explosive, energetic and powerful punk rock is how to describe this exciting 4-piece outfit. Serial Killer Dinner Party or SKDP to their fast-growing fan base have been tearing up the Brisbane/Gold Coast scene since 2016. High-voltage new track ‘Falling Away‘ comes hot on the heels after releasing their well-received previous single ‘Obligations‘ which was recorded during Covid lockdown and featured on the 2021 4ZZZ Radio’s Hottest 100 at number 15.

Being no strangers to larger stages after being invited to play the 2019 Dead Of Winter festival which included sharing a stage with bands such as 28 Days, Bodyjar, The Go Set, The Decline and Svetlanas, SKDP have supported some of the best local and interstate punk rock bands Australia has to offer including Born Lion, Bakers Eddy, Flangipanis, Topnovil, The Black Catapult, No Quarter, Dirty Brew, The Cutaways and many more.

‘Falling Away‘ kicks off with yet another brilliant SKDP hook that develops into a freight train of chugging guitars, bass and drums. The core of the song is ‘retrospect’ and how societies pressure of comparison can cause unhealthy thought patterns which can leave you feeling as though you are not good enough, desperate for answers and help of any kind. Check out the music video above which shows that even when tackling a heavy subject they still have fun and embrace a sense of humour.

SKDP will be starting 2022 strongly by releasing fresh music with releases planned all throughout the year as well as plans to not only keep pushing local shows throughout the Queensland scene but also with borders opening returning to interstate shows as well.
