cheerbleederz Reveal Cathartic New Single ‘notes app apologies’

London indie-punk trio release their latest single and announce debut album.

cheerbleederz have dropped their latest single notes app apologies. The track is the latest taken from their forthcoming debut album, even in jest due for released on 27th July 2022 via Alcopop! Records.

The band commented on the track: This song is about letting go of an abusive relationship. There’s a lot of fear and doubt that comes with separating yourself from somebody who manipulates you, and it leaves behind feelings of anger, as well as guilt and doubt. You end up questioning everything while simultaneously harbouring a lot of resentment for the person who treated you that way. We wanted this song to feel cathartic and unapologetic—it ultimately feels very healing.”

The album is available to preorder on limited edition (500) Daffodil Yellow vinyl, never to be re-released in that colour.

We are so excited to share our debut album this year!” enthuse the band on the news. “It feels like a long time coming, as we started working on it in lockdown in 2020, writing, rehearsing, and recording in the pockets of time when we could. It further bonded us at a time where being creative and having a collective output became more important than ever. These are our favourite batch of songs yet—full of character, hope, energy, misery, introspection and rage; we wanted to write complex songs that reflected our complex selves!”

The album’s lead single, cute as hell—a fizzing anthem dedicated to those thirsty early stages of a new crush, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day—and follow-up, nail biters, were released earlier this year.

The band recently announced a run of July 2022 UK headline tour dates, and tickets are on sale now, with further dates and album details TBA over the coming weeks.
