UK DIY punks Bruise Control will release their debut album ‘Useless For Something’ early next year on TNSrecords.
It’ll be their first outing on the Manchester label following the release of two self-produced EPs and the ‘Taxman‘ single that saw them bridge the gap between the traditional and the experimental.
Initially formed in late 2018, Bruise Control‘s foundation is its core trio of Jim Taylor, Devon Cryer and Tommy Victor Morris – veterans of the Manchester punk scene.
They originally set out to create classic garage punk, influenced by the likes of Gøggs, Nancy and Dead Moon, but the addition of guitarist Niall Griffin and bassist Josh Sumner saw Bruise Control adopt a new sound as they took cues from modern acts like Pissed Jeans and Amyl and the Sniffers (who they opened for in May).
The band are supporting pop-hardcore-ska punks Snuff on Friday 12 August in Huddersfield, and then the US hardcore quartet PEARS on Tuesday 18 October in Stafford.
