The Dangerous Summer shine a light on their slick new album release ‘Coming Home’

Maryland, USA rockers, release their 6th full-length studio album

American rock band The Dangerous Summer have released their highly anticipated new album, ‘Coming Home’, via Rude Records. The band’s previous singles, ‘All I Ever Wanted Was A Chance To Know Myself’, ‘Someday’ and ‘Sideways’, all feature on the new record.

“We named the album ‘Coming Home’ because it’s about coming back to ourselves,” says vocalist and bassist AJ Perdomo. “A full rock band vibe centred around driving guitars and emotionally heart-wrenching lyrics. It felt like a full-circle moment. It was the first time the four of us got in a room, lived in the studio for almost two months, and dug deep with sleepless nights and everything to get it done. We put everything we had into this record, and we are ready to share it with the world.”

The Dangerous Summer signed their first record deal as high school seniors and quickly established themselves among the alt-rock world’s elite. Passionate delivery, confessional authenticity, and deeply resonant musical storytelling define their sound. The band writes hooks that serve as soundtracks for important life moments for a diverse group of listeners spread across the globe.

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the band. Back in 2014, frontman/bassist AJ quit citing a “complete disconnect” with then guitarist Cody Payne. The remaining members soon disbanded, and then Cody’s life spiralled as he was arrested and jailed for burglary. A few years later, AJ decided to reignite his musical aspirations, and The Dangerous Summer was given a new lease of life with new members.

‘Coming Home’ certainly ushers in a new era for the talented group. They’ve shaken the snow globe a bit adding longtime touring guitarist Josh Withenshaw (Every Avenue) as an official member alongside lead guitarist Matt Kennedy and new drummer Christian Zawacki. They recorded with Will Beasley (TurnstileAsking Alexandria), a protégé of producer Paul Leavitt (YellowcardThe Used), who worked on a large swathe of the band’s catalogue.

The Dangerous Summer never sacrificed their unique, diverse sonic identity, one that appeals to fans of everything from Kings Of Leon and Coldplay to Jimmy Eat World and Bright Eyes. ‘Coming Home’ is a triumphant summary of what the band is all about – past, present, and future.

The band also recently announced an upcoming headline tour in support of the release of ‘Coming Home’, which will kick off October 22 in Denver, CO, with special guests Like Pacific and My Kid Brother.

‘Coming Home’ is available worldwide now via Rude Records
