Smile and wave at the new single from Shark Bait!

The UK pop punkers are back with a new powerful, catchy single- ‘Smile and Wave’. Read all about it below….

A follow up to the Summer single ‘Late Bloomer’, the four Yorkshire lads have a thundering gem of a punk hit with their new track about the complicated relationship we often have with the town we grew up in. The push and pull factors of old friends and new opportunities is a staple pop punk topic, and it is given a fresh sound in this new release.

Shark Bait– comprised of Nik Worsley (vocals), Ash Greenwood (guitar), Max Shirtliff (guitar) and Chris Hunt (drums)- are planning a generous run of new tracks for us all to get our ears round. ‘Smile and Wave’ is the second in a series of singles that will be released over the next eight months.

‘Smile and Wave’ was recorded at Foxhound Studio, with Mike Bennett, where the band’s ‘Bare Necessities’ E.P, ‘Better Late Than Never’ single (video below), have been produced and recorded.

Infectious melodic sensibilities, rocking riffs and a real sophisticated take on the modern punk genre, keep an eye on Shark Bait as they continue to make waves (get it? Waves? Sharks? Nevermind) in the scene.

‘Smile and Wave’ is out on 25th November. You can stream on all major platforms.
