Another live music casualty of Covid 19, The Hella Mega Tour has announced that Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer will not go ahead with the Australian and New Zealand leg of the tour in November this year.
With ongoing international travel restrictions, and continuing cautions around mass gatherings, Live Nation Australia and New Zealand have announced today via social media that the tour would not proceed.
In a statement posted earlier this morning they stated: “Australia and New Zealand, we’re beyond bummed to announce that the upcoming Hella Mega dates in November have been cancelled.” With an obvious tone of frustration and helplessness in the current situation they go on to say; “We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government Covid-19 travel restrictions, mass gatherings and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew and staff.”

The tour has not indicated any rescheduled dates and it appears that there is no sign of this happening in the near future with Live Nation and the bands offering “Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
We love you all and we’ll be back there rocking with you at some point.
Until then, stay safe.
Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer”.
All ticket holders will receive a full refund.
For any further queries relating to your ticket purchase or refund please contact the relevant ticketing agency.
Everyone should have a soundtrack playing loudly in the background of their life. I was born moshing to my own beat and have never swayed from my love of music. Spreading my passion through the written word is my soul’s purpose. My punk heart beats loudly with the rhythm of my rock soul. I plan to continue to mosh like no one gives a shit.
