Introducing Two Tonne Machete and their new single 'BLOCKS'.
Here at Punktuation, we KNOW punk’s not dead because we keep hearing all the awesome new punk music out there and it keeps our cynical spirits alive.
And if you need convincing, then check out this new track from new feminist punk three piece from NorthWest England- Two Tonne Machete.
‘BLOCKS‘ voices the frustration and heartbreak felt when those we love take us for granted. It combines elements of Nirvana, Dead Kennedys, Amyl & The Sniffers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And that surely must be enough to convince you.

The band- comprised of Em, Ro and Josh- formed after a JOHN gig in Liverpool. Around the same time they read an interview with Joe Talbot from IDLES who spoke of his desire to ‘cut through apathy and dark times like a two tonne machete.’ They adopted this as their name as it echoed their own DIY punk ethics and their uncompromisingly raw, high energy sound.
Their first single ‘TRAP‘ had an enthusiastic reception in the scene and was played on scores of radio stations worldwide, including Radio X in the UK where it was championed by John Kennedy as his ‘X-posure hot one’ in November 2022.
The band are hoping to follow up this success with the new single. So, if you’re in the market for a hot new band then give it a listen!
‘BLOCKS‘ is out now and available to stream on Spotify or you can purchase the CD HERE.
