A long-lost second album ‘Records & Tea: The Best of The Chefs and Lost Second Album’, from Brghton based early 80s indie punks The Chefs, is out this week. In 1979, guitarist Carl Evans approached bass player Helen McCookerybook to ask her if she’d like to write some songs with him. He’d already set one of her poems, ‘Food‘, to music. Recording several singles and an EP before they split in ’82, their lost recordings are brought together in this double LP.
