FANGZ Unleash Latest Single ‘Won’t Be Me.’

The Aussie punks release thier latest single and announce a 20-date Australian tour.

Following the warmly received release of ‘I Don’t Like Me’, Sydney-based punk quartet FANGZ have returned with a massive run of tour dates and their new single ‘Won’t Be Me’.

Opening with palm-muted guitars and the boundless vocals of frontman Joshua Cottreau, ‘Won’t Be Me’ heaves into a thunderous concoction of emphatic drums and spirited bass while a bed of guitars soar vehemently above the mix.

Four-on-the-floor rhythms permeate the verses before launching into a fiery half-time chorus, bristling with contagious melodies and emotional hooks. Cathartic alterations heighten the arrangement before its poignant climax.

“‘Won’t Be Me’ is about staying in a relationship with someone you love even though it seems destined to fail,” Cottreau comments. “It follows the thought process and battle of knowing when to let go of the person you care for. I guess it’s a breakup song and a love song at the same time.”

To celebrate the release, FANGZ will be embarking on a 20-date Australian headline tour, including an appearance at Halloween Hysteria and multiple performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and numerous regional towns.
