Who’s ready to party with Mean Jeans? Not only are they heading out with Australian punks The Chats this month, but they’ve just dropped a new digital released EP
Pop-punks Mean Jeans are heading out on tour with Australia’s The Chats later this month and to warm up their fans in the US and Canada they’ve dropped a new digital release.
Three-track EP ‘Hits from the Bog’ features a trio of unreleased tracks from 2016’s ‘Tight New Dimension’, the Portland, Oregon trio’s third album – and first for Fat Wreck Chords.
The songs take Mean Jeans’ Ramones and punk-pop influences, supercharge them and add a healthy dose of plain dumb fun for an infectious stew they call “party punk”.
Or, as guitarist and singer Billy Jeans puts it: “We just unearthed some recordings that got lost in the bog somewhere along the way.
“Listening back, I have to wonder what we were smoking at the time, cuz there’s definitely some saxophone, a single jazz chord, and we’ve betrayed the ‘4 chords per song’ rule. Still, I think they’ll appeal to anyone feeling possessed by junk food and/or slime.”
Tracklisting
1. Mind Fulla Slime
2. My Body is a Wasteland
3. Twistin off a Cliff
