Aussie Punks The Black Catapult release new album ‘Live In Isolation’

One of Brisbane’s most exciting punk bands is back with ‘Live In Isolation’ – a new ‘live’ album that includes their latest toon ‘Hey I’m A Punk Dude.’

The Black Catapult are a band with a larger-than-life stage presence and they thrive off the energy gained from playing live. So, what do they do when gigs come to a halt thanks to the on-going global pandemic? Like most bands, they moved online, partaking in the live-streamed concert Global Bandemic, in May 2020.

The live set was recorded and Livestreamed from Brisbane’s Red Star Studios, and has now been mixed, mastered and released as the band’s first live album…sans audience of course!

The album Includes their new single Hey I’m A Punk Dude – a super catchy pop-punk tune that has already become a favourite at live shows. You’ll also get a banger selection of favourites from the band’s last two albums, Jackson Street and All Grown Up.

The band’s bassist Ryan Pedlow says “We had so much fun recording this live gig, especially at a  time when we weren’t able to get out and play in front of others. And after, we had this amazing  quality recording of us doing what we do best, so of course we wanted to share it with our fans”.

With Australia’s Covid restrictions easing, The Black Catapult are playing their first live show in seven months, at Brisbane’s King Lear’s Throne, on March 6th to support the new release.

Live In Isolation and new single Hey I’m A Punk Dude are both available today on all music platforms.
