The Offspring have confirmed that the follow-up to 2012’s Days Go By is finally done and dusted and ready to be released into a waiting world!
It’s hard to believe but it was waaaaay back in 2019 the punk rock veterans The Offspring announced that they had finished recording their new album! Well, we know it’s been a long time coming but the band have just officially confirmed that it’ll finally be released this year.
Guitarist and frontman Dexter Holland, said: ?“We’re putting out a record. It’s finished, it’s done, it’s in the can as they say. We’ve got songs, we’ve got titles, we’ve got a label, we’ve got an album title, we’ve got a cover, we’ve got artwork and stuff. It’s ready to go. We’re putting this out.”
There’s no official release date just yet but Dexter said: “We have a release date, but I can’t tell you when. We’re gonna talk about all that stuff when the label lets us”.
I guess we’re going to have to wait just a little while longer for that announcement, but at least Offspring fans are one step closer to finally getting their mitts on the album – and that’s gotta be good news!
Will fans get to hear anything off the album before the album is released?
An excited Dexters proclaims.”Yes we have a single!”
And… is there a release date for the single?
“No…not yet!” Dexter chuckles. “But I’m so excited I just wanted to let all our fans out there know before the official announcement…but pinch yourselves… it’s real!”
