Spring into warmer days with a step outside the box from Peesh..
Northumbrian punk singer-songwriter Peesh has just released a great new single, ‘Under the Radar‘, to celebrate the first day of Spring – and to launch his new project – ‘The Perennial Effect II – Seasons‘. Hot on the heels of last year’s ‘The Perennial Effect‘ album, Peesh will be releasing a new track on the first day of every season throughout 2025. Then, they’ll all be compiled with another 8 new songs, for a 12 track CD release in early 2026.
This is in addition to his work with his other bands – LoGOz, Cherry & Peesh and Monkeys Blood – Peesh is gearing up for yet another busy year of songwriting and performing!
Of ‘Under the Radar‘, Peesh says “I’m stepping outside my comfort zone a little, exploring the more spoken word side of my solo music! I’m already heavily involved in this with Cherry & Peesh, but I really wanted to try something outside the box with my first track from ‘The Perennial Effect ll – Seasons’.”
We think it’s a fantastic start to his new project – ‘Under the Radar‘ sees Peesh getting angry about the harsh political and social realities of this current time, over a banging beat, created as much by the guitar as the percusssion – a clever musical move. It’s clear that Peesh can turn his talented hand to a different genre of music for him with equal aplomb to his punk numbers!

Usually found jumping around down the front at gigs, I also relish taking photos and videos, singing, speaking with fellow music fans, and asking musicians the questions nobody else does. Writing about my favourite bands and connecting with people who love music too keeps me more-or-less sane! I’ve worked for over 25 years at a video production company, mainly filming live music events, therefore I have an additional backstage perspective on the scene.
