Garage punk legend and Radio Birdman founder Deniz Tek will reissue his groundbreaking album Take It To The Vertical for the first time on vinyl, digital and DSP’s on March 19th via Wild Honey Records.
Take It To The Vertical, originally released by Redeye/Polydor Records Australia in 1992, was Deniz Tek’s first solo album. Recorded at historic SugarHill Studios in Houston, Texas, the album features Radio Birdman’s Chris Masuak on guitar and keyboards; and The Stooges’ Scott Asheton on drums. There are extensive liner notes, never before seen photos, and a bonus track not on the original release.
This amazing album has been long out of print, rare, and nearly impossible to find. It will now be available worldwide from Wild Honey as part two of Deniz Tek’s work series of archival releases.
Electrifying album opener Run Out of Water is now available for the first time on digital and streaming services. The track is accompanied by the 1992 original video, taken from the Australian TV show ‘Rage’.
