Tape It Shut
Tape It Shut won't be 'Employee Of The Hour'!

Release Date: 16th April 2025
Record Label: Snake In The Grass Records

Lightning-fast Reading, UK political punks Tape It Shut have dropped the first single from their new album, which will be out later this year. ‘Employee Of The Hour‘ was written about the trio’s experiences of employers who don’t understand about disability and mental health problems. Guitarist and lead vocalist Dan explains that each band member had come across the same issues, working in different sectors (retail, hospitality and I.T.) “It became a very angry punk rock song about workers being treated like numbers on a screen, and bosses not giving a shit about the human beings behind them.” We agree – this song hits hard, and we can’t wait for the next release from what’s promising to be a punktastic album!

The Molotovs want 'More More More' in first single

Release Date:21st March 2025
Record Label: Marshall Records

The Molotovs siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge have taken the live scene by storm during the last few years; most recently supporting The Sex Pistols With Frank Carter at the Royal Albert Hall, before their own sold out headline tour this month. Signing to Marshall Records last December, The Molotovs debut single ‘More More More‘ went straight to No. 1 in the vinyl singles chart, and of course it’s an absolute banger! Mathew says “It’s about existing in a transient relationship that you feel indifferent about. Filling up time with drinking and partying to distract you from the mundane boredom of life, covering up for lack of personality, and deep down knowing you want more.”

Gallus
Gallus are 'Cool To Drive' on latest EP

Release Date: 11th April 2025
Record Label: Marshall Records

Scottish indie-punks Gallus have just released their brand new EP, ‘Cool To Drive,’ which sees the band up the attitude and tapping into their raw punk-driven sound, demonstrating their heavier side. “We’re leaning much further into the punk end of the spectrum, and it feels very natural to us,” comments guitarist Eamon Ewins. “The energy in our live performances has always been there, but we feel that with this EP, our music is at its most visceral and raw. The lyrics are also written from the first-person perspective of semi-fictional characters. That decision was never conscious but plays to vocalist Barry‘s strengths as a former actor. The character-driven nature of it makes the EP almost feel like a mini-series.”

Crashing in on guitars you have the ‘old skool’ riffs of ‘Div1’ and the ‘metal- head ’ riffs of ‘Div2’. Underneath this there’s a floating melodic bass groove provided by Steve, and Turkee Drumstix turns everything even further on its head with his funk punk beats.
