Spleen - Making Plans for Nigel

It’s not often that the cover version rivals the original, but Italian punks Spleen have upped the ante with ‘Making Plans For Nigel‘. The fierce and feisty Florence four-piece have taken 2024 by storm, with debut single ‘Dystopic School‘ released while they sat their final exams at high school. Frontman Samuele says: “The idea behind the video is the same as the one behind the XTC song – trying to escape from the impositions that life puts in front of you.” Spleen are set to conquer the rock scene with their electrifying performances – catch them at London’s legendary Hope & Anchor on 6th December!

Sean Vertigo, former vocalist/songwriter of rock group VILE A SIN has always had a heart moulded by the classic sounds of punk rock. In 2022 doctors found a mass in Sean’s throat and after two surgeries removing 80% of his left vocal cord, Sean was told his singing days were over. During his months of recovery, the only thing that made Sean happy was music; this fuelled the flame to begin writing songs from the heart, like he hadn’t done in years. Sean And The Dead’s debut EP features 4 hard-hitting and heartfelt original songs and a reimagined cover of Tom Petty’s ‘Walls’ – a perfect blend of everything to love about punk rock.
