New Jersey pop Punks Just Happy To Be Here get festive, with a punk-drenched cover of The Kinks‘ Christmas classic, ‘Father Christmas‘. Speaking on their festive offering, the band’s Justin Kostelnik shares: “Christmas just got a whole lot louder! We decided to take ‘Father Christmas‘ by The Kinks, throw in some power chords, half-time drums, and a sprinkle of holiday chaos. It’s the same rebellious anthem you know and love—just with a pop-punk twist. So grab your Santa hats, turn up the volume, and get ready to mosh around the Christmas tree!”

Festive Ska-Punk from a new collaboration!

Blindman Drew (94th Street Alibi, Lakedub, Last Fix) and Josh Cardinali (contributor to Iration’s dub album) have teamed up to form a punk band called Tacos and Beer. Kicking things off with a holiday single ‘EBT Christmas‘. It’s a high-energy punk anthem that captures the gritty charm of the holidays. The Long Beach duo hope this can break up the monotony of the traditional Christmas songs and the headaches that come with them. Keep it punk rock and have a happy new year! Anyone who can shoehorn in reference to the notoriously dreadful yet hilarious Star Wars Christmas Special in a song gets our vote!

Sweden's Dead Pollys make you think about your blessings!

Dead Pollys present a remixed ‘Xmas Evening‘, mastered by Riccardo Daga at Titans LAB Recording Studio. It was originally released in December 2023 as part of the Dammit Records Christmas compilation. Dead Pollys recorded this piece at Tune Inn in Skarpnäck, Stockholm. The song and accompanying video illustrate the differences between the privileged and the underprivileged. As you go about your Christmas duties, remember that there are ways you can help. If this single and video don’t get you thinking, you must have a heart of ice!

The New Jersey pop punk band pride themsleves on transforming Americana classics into pop punk anthems, injecting energy and style while honoring the originals. They have come up with a corker this year – ‘Little Saint Nick‘ is bold, beefed up and bouncing to the beat!
