UK pop-punkers rejoice! If you missed out on your slice of Slam Dunk 2020, you can dust off your Vans and studded belts because the one-day festival vows to be back bigger and better than ever in 2021.
Slam Dunk has become somewhat of an annual pilgrimage for those who love 90s/2000s punk, ska and (dare we say it) emo, so it was a real disappointment that the 2020 dates had to be cancelled due to Covid 19. This year’s line up was considered to be very strong so compounding the disappointment was the fear that with momentum lost, next year may not be able to attract the same names.
Those fears seem to be unfounded as Slam Dunk organisers have confirmed that Bedford-rockers Don Broco and Canadian pop-punkers Sum 41 will headline the rescheduled dates. They join some impressive acts who have confirmed they will be returning next year- NOFX, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish and The Vandals amongst others.
Slam Dunk will take place on two dates next year- 29th May 2021 at Leeds Temple Newsam and 30th May 2021 at Hatfield Park.
