The brilliant Dallas-based hardcore punk rockers aren’t slow to the punch with their awesome new music video.
Texan punks Sloth Fist have released a new video for the latest album’s title track, Mothman Is Real, out now via Mindpower Records. Mothman Is Real is the fourth track from the album with the video created by Noah Maxey.
After touring extensively, the band hit the studio in late 2019 to record the Mothman is Real LP. The result – twelve blistering tracks recorded with the help of Joe Tacke and Rebekah Elizabeth at Cloudland Studios in Fort Worth, TX.
All songs were mixed by Andrew Berlin at The Blasting Room in CO and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust). Ten songs are featured on the digital release, with the 12-inch vinyl and CD versions containing two bonus tracks.
Play this effing loud!
Sloth Fist combine the melodic sense of The Descendents and Teenage Bottlerocket with the fierceness of bands like Motorhead and Turbonegro. The result is an eclectic mix of songs that will satisfy anyone who likes their music hard and heavy but still catchy with hooks galore.
The video’s for the band’s previous tracks All I Know, Nicotine and Sloth Fist Will Be Annihilated are up on YouTube for your viewing entertainment. We suggest you check them out!
The clip Sloth Fist Will Be Annihilated was filmed in quarantine, with each member filming their own footage at their homes and/or practice space. and the result’s pretty good!
For the scene at the end of the video, dozens of fans and friends submitted their own videos of themselves having a laugh singing along to the song’s end chant – a great touch.

Everyone should have a soundtrack playing loudly in the background of their life. I was born moshing to my own beat and have never swayed from my love of music. Spreading my passion through the written word is my soul’s purpose. My punk heart beats loudly with the rhythm of my rock soul. I plan to continue to mosh like no one gives a shit.
