The Faim release new album ‘Talk Talk’ via BMG

Perth-based four-piece rock act The Faim have just released their sophomore record full of pop-punk power.

Talk Talk is the follow-up to the band’s 2019 debut ‘State Of Mind’, and the new album touches on nostalgia, celebration, escapism, and self-discovery themes. Recorded between locations in America and the band’s native Australia, The Faim worked with several producers with an impressive array of pop-punk credentials. These include Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Machine Gun Kelly), Erik Ron (Panic! At the Disco, Set It Off), and Matthew Pauling (5 Seconds of Summer, State Champs), who have worked hard to showcase the band’s vast range of styles and tones.

The album features the adrenaline-charged single ‘The Hills‘ and the self-produced track ‘Me Because Of You’, both climbing international radio charts. The album also features the celebratory ‘ERA’, captivating ‘The Alchemist’, driving pop-rock anthem ‘Ease My Mind’, and the upbeat pop-rock track ‘Flowers’, which showcases the personalities behind each of the bands’ instruments.

Known for non-stop touring and playing hundreds of shows, The Faim are currently finishing up a very successful UK & EU run after the pandemic lull, which included performances at major festivals Rock am Ring, Download Festival, Rock Werchter, La Nuit De l’Erdre, Musilac, and more. On Friday, July 15, the band will embark on an Australian tour beginning in their hometown of Boorloo/Perth.

Since forming in 2014, The Faim have built a strong global following. Comprised of Josh Raven (vocals), Stephen Beerkens (bass), Samul Tye (guitar) and Linden Marissen (drums), they have performed at major festivals including Reading & Leeds Festival, Slam Dunk Festival, Lollapalooza Berlin. They have sold-out headline shows around the world. Well and truly ensconced in the new wave of pop-punk musicians, they have collaborated with legends of the genre, including Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus and Ashton Irwin from 5 Seconds of Summer.

The band have proven themselves as a group of musicians who are all about making genuine songs that bring people together and create a community.

“This album is our most personal yet and the most involved we’ve ever been in the entire creative process,” shares bassist Stephen Beerkens. “We hope everyone who listens enjoys hearing a new side to the band.”
