UltraBomb have dropped the second single from their upcoming album ‘Time To Burn’, offering up the sweetly melodic take that is ‘Star’.
Billed as a ‘punk hardcore power trio’, the band consists of Hüsker Dü’s Greg Norton, Finny McConnell from The Mahones and Jamie Oliver, until recently with U.K. Subs.
The trio will shortly make their much anticipated live debut with a run of UK shows that will now begin March 30 in Leeds after logistical issues forced Dublin and Belfast dates to be cancelled.
‘Star’ follows the release of ‘Stickman Vs Hangman’ and both tunes will feature on UltraBomb’s debut album. ‘Time To Burn’ is available to pre-order now and will also include a cover of the Dead Boys’ Sonic Reducer.
Recorded at Berlin’s Studio 25 this autumn, the majority of the album’s lyrics have been supplied by Norton and ‘Time To Burn’ is due out 27 May on True North Records. Canada’s oldest independent label, it’s also home to The Mahones and Finny McConnell’s solo work.
