Canadian punks, We Were Sharks, to perform new LP ahead of the official release date of their forthcoming LP
As Canadian punks, We Were Sharks gear up for the release of their highly anticipated forthcoming record, New Low, due out May 21, 2021, via Revival Recordings they are very excited to announce “New Low: The Visual Album Experience.” Livestream of their new LP, New Low
The Livestream will feature We Were Sharks performing New Low in its entirety almost a full month before the release of the album in the form of a visual album experience that includes live performance style videos of every song on the album, behind the scenes, look from the music videos and the making of the documentary. The event will conclude with a live Q&A with the band.
“New Low: The Visual Album Experience” is the culmination of a year and a half of work, bringing New Lowinto the light of day. We wanted to create a piece of art that our fans could experience with us,” shares guitarist Colin Jacques.
“With the likelihood of live shows in 2021 fading away, we put together a full album performance that celebrates the release of New Low for us and our fans wherever we can all access it safely. The event includes full album performances, deep dive into our music videos and behind the scenes goof-offs in classic WWS form. We hope you have as much fun watching it as we did making it!”
Additionally, the band has announced the release of the next single, “Over This,” which will be released tomorrow. Fans can pre-save the track here. “Over This” as well as previously released singles “Problems,” “Shameless,” and “Bring Me Down” all come off of the band’s forthcoming album.
On New Low LP, lead vocalist Randy Frobel shares, “New Low is a collection of songs that we created that focuses on being down but not out. Since the release of Lost Touch, we’ve experienced many of life’s ups and downs.
“We’ve lost relationships, friends and family, and have gone through a lot of unexpected challenges that life has a tendency to throw at you when you least expect it. However, no matter what may have tried to keep us down or hold us back, we always take the hit and keep pushing forward.”
