“Our newest single Control Freak is about how you can accidentally trap yourself within your own anxiety,” says the band who have performed on the Vans Warped Tour and have toured with the likes of The Dead Kennedys, Creeper, Flogging Molly, and more.
The music video touches on both band members’ Sydney Dolezal and Meghan Herring’s time in the psychiatric ward because of mental health reasons in their lives.
This is also the first release for the reincarnated Doll Skin after the sudden departure in December of Nicole Rich and Alex Snowden.
“We’re moving forward and are ecstatic to be back and we’re looking forward to our new chapter.” says Sydney and Meghan. “We will continue serving as a platform to women and nonbinary people within the industry – we will just look a little different with the possible addition of some new faces. Our vision is to tap into the army of those in underrepresented communities who have incredible stories and talent, and to be a source of inspiration in this often-uncertain world.”
